Once again the 2006 Summer School of the Arts was a fantastic opportunity for budding artistes of all kinds to get input both spiritually and experientially. To give you a reminder of what we did or a taste of what you missed, each day started with instrumental lessons from some fab tutors in Guitars, Keyboards, Drums and Percussion. After lunch came the main worship focus and teaching from the likes of Jarod Cooper, Mark Beswick and Dave Wellington – wow, clear teaching, delivered with style and with such relevant content for artistes and worshippers. After a short coffee break we went into various workshops which included Songwriting, Singing, working in a Band, Dancing, and Worship leader issues and this took us right up to tea-time. The evenings had a more varied feel: The Tuesday and Thursday evenings were further performance workshops, how to be relaxed in a stage environment to deliver your best performance. Of course on the Wednesday evening we all came back to KT to pray for the arts and to have a time of deep intimacy with God. Sad to say, it all came to a halt on Friday evening, but this year everyone was able to get to see Superman Returns at the Coronet cinema, but not before we prayed for each other and got dismissed with a heart-felt blessing. We're looking forward to seeing you again!
Every blessing, KT Worship
